Here are some answers:

- About salary, Snr Devs here earn about 90K-120K AU$, have a look on www.seek.com.au, it should give you some ideas.
- For 200k income, you pay about 67k tax if you don't have a good accountant. Very few developers in OZ earn 200k a year.
- Depends on the location and type of houses, hard to say. But in SYD or MEL, house prices often easily go over 500K AU$.
- Life style, your choice...

Does it justify your moving? Sure, you should come... just because you are in US.
