ROC Oil said technical issues at a well offshore Victoria mean it is unlikely to achieve its annual production target of 11,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day. ROC said the Basker-2 well at the Basker Manta Gummy project has been shut-in following the identification of a minor leak on the subsea choke. Planning for repair is underway, it said. The company said about eight weeks of planned maintenance at the Basker Manta Gummy project from mid-September will provide a window for Basker-2 repairs. ROC said it will provide an updated 2009 production forecast once the timing for repair of the well is finalised. "However, ROC is now unlikely to achieve the 2009 production target of 11,000 BOEPD," it said. ROC remained unchanged at $0.75.
