The applicant will be working in a small Scrum/Agile software development team as part of the larger Management Platform group. Their team will be authoring software that improves and adds new capabilities to the SMP (XXX Management Platform). Software is primarily, although not exclusively, authored in C# on the ASP.Net/SQL Server platform.
The SMP is a configuration and management web based console. It is used to manage a number of XXX’s flagship products from a single entry point. Several large name enterprise customers and partners also leverage the extensibility of this platform to create their own branded consoles which manage their own product lines. Working on new features and maintaining the platform, which is used to manage millions of systems, provides an exciting and challenging environment in which to further develop your skills and career.
As a senior software developer the applicant will be expected to analyse and develop software with little direct supervision and working from incomplete and sometimes conflicting requirements. The complexity and size of the existing software base and the many uses to which it's put by customers mandates an ability to balance competing requirements when choosing a feature's implementation. The applicant will need to be able to develop creative and imaginative software solutions, sometimes while working under pressure.
Being a platform consumed by many external groups the creation of clear documentation, and assistance of other developers forms part of the responsibility of this position. Hence the ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal forms is a necessity.
Working as part of both their immediate Scrum team and the greater group requires the applicant to be able to prioritise tasks efficiently and appropriately. Good teamwork and self motivation is essential if they are to deliver a quality product in a predictable manner.

Required Qualifications/Prior Experience/Skills/Knowledge:
* Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science
* Minimum of 3 years development experience with C# language, .NET framework, ASP.NET, JavaScript, HTML and SQL.
* Five years or more experience developing software commercially.

* Exposure to Scrum and/or Agile software development methodologies.
