Support for Macquarie Community following Tuesday's road fatalities
Dear Macquarie staff and students,
It is my sad duty to have to let you know that two of our students died on Tuesday after being involved in a car accident on Epping Road in the early hours of the morning.
Both students were enrolled in the Master of Applied Finance course. One was an international student from China, the other a local student.
Upon hearing of this tragedy our immediate concern is naturally for the students' families, friends and loved ones. We will not be naming the deceased out of our respect for the families' privacy in this time of grief. However we also want to reach out to the students' classmates, teachers and friends within the Macquarie community to offer them support and counselling. When it is appropriate to do so, the University will contact the families to offer our condolences.
