sydney: sharing one br with others: 110-170, $150 per week is average; close to city and not too far away from sydney uni; don't go stay around redfern; the figures includes internet, eletricity water gas; to have own bedroom; 220-340 per week. fully furnished.

melbourne is cheaper: not sure how much cheaper; but i don't think much cheaper sorry o.

a lunch take away costs around: $8.00-15.00
