you can so totally do the transfer to another lawyer~~

all you need to do is find the one you want. then the new laywer will ask you to sign a paper "sth sth authority" meaning the transfer so he can have the whole file; then he will take care of it from then on. make sure you check if any fees payable to the old one.

we had similar situation before, but at the end i think i ex did not bother to do it coz it was about to be finalized, and once it is exchanged, end of the deal with the current laywer, you can show your mid finger to him hah.
