Job description: 

UUCL is currently looking for 1 bilingual PA to Marketing Director to join our professional marketing team. As the PA to Marketing Director, you will provide the Manager with a full range of administrative support, particularly in the area of international project management, holiday and tour events and estate investment projects. 
 

 

As a PA to Marketing Director, the role includes:

I. Market Development and Operation:

1. Answering queries and preparing proposals (International project plan, tour itineraries, contract, report etc.) for clients;

2. Making promotional leaflets and marketing via network, telephone, internet etc.

3. Liaisoning with loyal clients, partners such as golf clubs, hotel chains while developing new customers and partners.

4. Completing all schedules in each tour or project (e.g. welcome letter, booking confirmation, allocation of vehicle and tour guides).

5. Supervising tour guides, drivers and business representatives.

II. Organization support:

  1. Travel: arrangements as well as business preparation with Marketing Director
  2. Calendar management
  3. Cover during Marketing Director absence
  4. Other tasks relevant to business needs

Personal requirements:

·         Technical Skills & Experience Required

·         Good communicator - written & verbal *

·         Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills *

·         Good problem solving skills *

·         Very good commend of Microsoft Office especially; Excel & PowerPoint *

·         Internet savvy *

·         Analytical: understands numbers, identifies key issues and concludes on suggestion. *

·         Influencing and negotiating skills *

·         Fluent in Mandarin - verbal & written Personal Attributes: *

·         Pro-active: suggests solutions and initiates execution *

·         Ability to use own initiative * Self-motivated * Committed * Hands on * Team player *

·         Great personal interaction skills, sensitive to cultural differences 

  • At least 12 months full time work experience in Britain is essential. Outstanding candidates without work experience can be considered as well.

Place of work

Your main place of work is UUCL, Catchpell House Business Centre, Edinburgh. EH6 6SP.

You are also required to work at clients’ premises or from your home whenever necessary.  The Company reserves the right to change the location of your main place of work to any establishment operated by the Company whether temporarily or permanently as the Company may from time to time direct.

 

Salary

Your salary comprises:

  1. a basic pay of ___£15,000______ per annum
  2. a monthly bonus payment calculated by 1% of sales income in the sections of Holiday & Tour Events and International Project Management
  3. You are also entitled to the sales commission (varied case by case) in the section of Estate Investment subject to successful cases recommended through your personal networks.

Your salary is payable monthly in arrears on (or about) the last working day of the following month by direct credit transfer into your bank account as notified by you to the Company. The Company reserves the right to reduce your salary if your duties change as a result of your incapacity or inability to perform your duties or to suspend payment of salary if you are suspended from duty by the Company.

 

  1. Your salary will be reviewed every six months.  Such review will take place on or about the half of year of the date that you commenced employment with the Company.  The next review will take place on 8th July 2014 and your basic pay will be increased between £15,000 and £20,000 per annum subject to the total turnover of Holiday & Tour Events and International Project Management is more than £250,000 in the past six months. The review after next will take place on 8th January 2015 and your basic pay will be increased between £20,000 and £25,000 per annum subject to the total turnover of Holiday & Tour Events and International Project Management is more than £250,000 in the past six months.  If your job description has been changed since the commencement of employment, your review will take place on or about the half of year of the date of such change.  Any amendment to your salary will be implemented on the pay day next following the date of the review.

 

Bonus and Benefits

Annual bonus will be restricted by the manager’s discretion.

All employees and their families can have the corporate rate of all bookings with the company’s partners such as hotels, restaurants, golf club, shops etc.

Free milk, coffee, tea are available during the working time.

Company will provide full assistance with work permit after one year’s employment.
