我曾夢見采訪了上帝
“這麽說你想采訪我?”上帝問。
“如果您有時間的話”我說。
“我的時間是永恒。”上帝微笑著說，“你心中有什麽疑問需要我解答嗎？”
“人類的哪些行為最使您出乎意料？”
上帝回答道：
“童年時，他們厭倦不已，急切盼望長大，之後又渴望成為孩童。”
“他們不惜賠上性命追逐財富，然後散盡千金換健康。”
“由於對未來的焦慮，他們忘記了現在。因此他們既不活在現在也不活在未來。”
“他們活著，似乎不知道將來會死去；他們死去，好像從來沒有活過。”
上帝握著我的手，我們默默無語。
然後我問，“作為父母，您希望兒女們學習哪些人生的功課？”
“學會懂得他們無法強迫任何人愛他們，他們能做的隻是使他們自己被人愛。”
“明白與人攀比不是明智之舉。”
“通過不斷原諒他人來學會寬容。”
“要知道僅僅幾秒鍾就能讓他們所愛的人受到深深的傷害，但是卻要花數年才能使其愈合。”
“富有的人不是占有最多的人，而是需要最少的人。”
“記住有許多人深深地愛著他們，隻是不知道如何表達他們的情感。”
“懂得兩個人看待相同的事物會有不同的看法。”
“他們彼此原諒仍然不夠，他們必須也要學會原諒自己。”
“謝謝你寶貴的時間”我謙遜地道謝。
“除此之外，您還有別的要讓您的兒女知道的嗎？”
上帝微笑著說：“就讓他們知道我在這裏，直到永永遠遠。”

One night I dreamed a dream.
As I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
One belonging to me and one to my Lord.
After the last scene of my life flashed before me,
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
I noticed that at many times along the path of my life,
especially at the very lowest and saddest times,
there was only one set of footprints.
This really troubled me, so I asked the Lord about it.
"Lord, you said once I decided to follow you,
You'd walk with me all the way.
But I noticed that during the saddest and most troublesome times of my life,
there was only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why, when I needed You the most, You would leave me."
He whispered, "My precious child, I love you and will never leave you
Never, ever, during your trials and testings.
When you saw only one set of footprints,
It was then that I carried you."
