Sleding

Daniel's version:

The location we went to was called Davis Park, Scarsdale, NY. We went sledging there on Monday afternoon. It was my mom's idea. We went there because my mom thought it would be fun and exciting. It was fun and exciting because we went quickly and we got to do races. We played for twenty-five minutes. Then we went home because we were cold. 

Mommy's version:

On Monday morning, when I woke up, I saw the largest snow I have ever seen. For a moment, we thought we might get stranded at home. But grandpa, grandma, Peter and Andrew and Daniel shoveled up the snow on the driveway, so that we could get out of the house.

After lunch, Andrew and Daniel took a nap. Then I decided to take them for sleding in the Davis Park. We had a lot of fun there. Sleding is really exciting and fun because you can go really fast and far. Andrew and Daniel also went for races. Most of the time, Daniel won. He can balance himself well by openning his arms when sleding. Sometimes, Daddy also played with Andrew or Daniel on the same board. Sometimes they fell soon after they started. It was also a lot of fun just to watch them. We played there for about 25 minutes and then went home because it was getting really cold. It is so fun that we will for sure do it again!

Andrew's version:

One day during the winter break, I and my brother, Daniel, woke up and heard mommy saying that we did not know many Chinese. Then we went sleding in Davis Park. I bumped my head on the snow on my first ride. I thought it was really funny. We saw a boy, Rafa, who knew Daniel. He borrowed a sled from us. Daniel and Rafa talked with each other a lot. I like sleding because we could go extremely fast. I also like it because it can go a long distance. Mommy and daddy were watching us. Daddy also played with us, while mommy was taking some pictures for us. We went home after playing for 25 minutes because it was freezing. It was so fun that we didn't want to leave.
