You can get rid of the ticket in several

occations:

1. Rainning -- your car skipped so you have to pass the intersection. You need to show the weather record.

2. Look at the picture carefully -- if you can see a large truck right behind you, then you can argue that you do not think it is safe for you to apply break without being hit by the truck. This "perceived" danger is an acceptable argument especially if you have kids in your car/van.

3. If the picture shows a police car and fire truck with flashing lights on, or ambulance with siren on, behind you, then you can win.

4. Your car is malfunctioning -- you need to show mechanic's report.

5. Got away with it once as on-call MD with emergent case.
