挺喜歡現在的公司, 工作和同事們. 美中不足的就是來回一趟要將近45-50分鍾左右, 比以前多了一倍還多. 我不喜歡一個人開長途車, 更不希望成為車禍統計數目之一. 但沒別的更好的選擇, 就隻好想盡辦法使自己在車裏有點事兒幹. 老公給裝了XM電台, 每天上下班路上換著台聽聽也很快覺得沒什麽勁. 想著自己原來在國內很喜歡看小說的, 到了美國以後讀書拿學位, 後來找到工作又結婚再有了孩子, 沒什麽屬於自己的時間. 在此雖讀過很多課本, 讀過對增進具體知識和自己進步 (Self Improvement)有用的書, 但沒時瞷看過幾本小說, 尤其是英文的.
上網一查, 激光盤上的書要價非凡. 我一般也不會一書聽兩遍, 覺得買來太浪費了. 朋友說你為什麽不去公共圖書館看看. 這才找到聽書的源泉. 很想借網上介紹的有4-5 顆星的好書或是什麽賣得最好的書. 無奈小鎮公共圖書館不大, 書源非常有限, 所以我也沒有太多的選擇. 數了數, 二十個月內我已經聽了大概40 來本書. 收獲不小. 現在甚至有點喜歡開車了. 有好書時, 有時周末還惦記著書裏的情節, 巴不得星期一早點來 ：-（.
以下是我一年多來聽過的書. 有些我看過電影, 但沒讀過原本. 帶星號的是我認為比較好的, 值得一讀的書. 這些書不但有娛樂作用, 也更使我了解了世界各地的人土風情, 習俗觀點, 開拓了我的眼界.
