2007 came when 2006 hasn't got a chance to develop into a full year

 I only just warmed up into the gear of 2006 when 2007 crushed in like the clumsiest locomotive

 

good times accelerate away while bad times linger as a nasty cold

 thankfully anything that has a beginning has an end, including bad times

 

the thing you dread may or may not be as bad

 the thing you anticipate almost never lives up to your expectation

 

without deliberate planning i rarely complete the thing that i should do

 even meticulous prevention can't keep me from my wasteful indulges

  when it comes to excuses for indulgence, i find myself enormously ingenious
