夏天眼看就要過去，天氣卻一天比一天熱。 這個周末，灣區很多地方接近、甚至超過110°F。

哎！ 想當年，暑假，老爺子、老媽的公司組織去Great America。 免費遊園、抽獎、玩遊戲、吃烤肉… 好開心！ 周末，準備飲料、沙拉、水果、麵包、烤肉、甜點… 呼朋喚友來我家遊泳、烤肉、吹牛、敘舊… 沒有氣候變暖、沒有空氣質數、沒有搶劫、沒有槍擊，也沒有疫情… 讀書、工作、生活… 忙忙碌碌，充實…

時間是回不去了。

勞工節，沒有當年開趴的動力和心情。 找朋友出去吃，意思意思就行了。

Roadhouse，就是公路邊的酒吧、飯館、小吃鋪…

Texas地廣人稀，流行西部牛仔文化，什麽都大…

記得有次去首府Dallas旁邊的Irving受訓。 隻見路上的街牌比旗杆還高，字小，要仰頭往上才看得見。 餐館的份量大。 我和一個同來受訓的越南人，兩人吃一份… 周五，集訓結束，人人都走了。 我的飛機是第二天，於是跑去Dallas的旋轉餐廳Reunion Tower上吃三文魚沙拉，價錢老貴了… 看見有一塊草地，旁邊一班法國人高喊JFK，大概那裏是肯尼迪遭暗殺的地方…

網上說Texas Roadhouse的麵包好吃。 東西份量大，價錢公道，跟疫情前一樣…

飯館從早上11點開到晚上10點，不接受訂位。

11點到達餐館，停車場很空。 排隊，登記，然後等電話通知，大約20多分鍾…

走的時候，飯館坐滿了人，停車場全滿了。

看不懂，on Deck，隨便拿嗎？

裏麵很空，但要坐在Patio裏等通知…

很多老中，很多老年人…

懷舊的感覺…

老式Jukebox…

廚房…

服務員是位金發美女，身材嬌小… 態度很好，問她要什麽都說：“Of Course！”

大名鼎鼎的免費麵包，抹黃油(honey cinnamon butter)吃。

口感非常軟熟，有少許甜，烤時刷了黃油…

服務員說每5分鍾出爐，保證新鮮…

Raspberry Sweet Tea($3.69) — 服務員推薦的，喝到最後才品出茶的味道…

Lemonade($3.19) — 朋友說味道怪怪的…

在一家大公司任職的時候，全組經常去Chilli's吃Awesome Blossom(炸洋蔥)。 大家你一根，我一根，吃得可開心了。 後來說那道菜極度不健康，Chilli's也不再供應了…

老媽說有點鹹，其實很好吃…

有兩個老外，喝著啤酒，隻要了一盤炸洋蔥，吃著麵包…

人家的Appertizer是喝啤酒，看球賽時吃的。 我們根本吃不了，大部分打包帶走…
