Peach cobbler (桃子派)

We harvested a lots of peaches from our peach tree this year again. I canned more than 20 bottles of peaches. Peach cobbler is our favorite desert. They are so simple and delicious. You can make them with either fresh peaches or canned peaches.
今年桃樹又收獲不少.我做了20多瓶的桃子罐頭.鄉村桃子派是我們最喜歡的甜點之一.可以選用新鮮桃子或罐頭桃子.簡單易做又美味.


1) Make pie dough: (see A, B and C)
1 and 3/4 cup unbleached flour
1/2 cup butter or shortening
1 Tbsp sugar
dash of salt
4 Tbsp cold water
2) Mix peaches with 1 Tbsp of sugar and 1 Tbsp of corn starch or flour. Arrange peaches in the middle of the dough.(See D) Drop few rasberries on the top. (See E) Fold the dough as below. (see F) Brush egg on the dough and sprinkle some sugar on the top.
先做派皮(看下圖A和C),麵粉,奶油或shortening,糖,一點鹽混合好,加入冷水,和成麵團,擀成一個大麵片片待用。取一中號盆,放入桃子和糖,再放入一大勺澱粉或麵粉。攪拌均勻,把桃子擺在派皮的中間,(看下圖D)再擺上紅莓果,派皮翻過來,刷上蛋液,撒上糖。


Bake it in a preheated oven for 30 minutes at 375F, or till golden brown. Remove from oven and let it cool complete and serve.
放入預熱好的烤箱中375華氏度,烤30分鍾,或者直到外皮金黃,取出晾涼即可切塊吃。


They are simple, healthy, sweet treat. They are delicious.
這道甜點簡單易做,健康又美味。
