Here is something really positive

Coach D\'Antoni stood behind Lin firmly.

Just finished listening to post game conference. One reporter asked the coach with a leading question, Coach, you\'ve defended Jeremy a lot, and D\'Antoni stopped him right away by saying I don\'t guard Jeremy:). Then the reporter said, Some of the decision making of Jeremy today weren\'t good, and he was forcing things. - it is true.

Here is what Coach had to say, not in exact words, but my recap:

Jeremy has played 15, 20 games in NBA. There will be lots of ups and downs, and he needs to learn. He has been figuring out and he will figure out. For those people who say Jeremy can be a decent backup PG at best, they probably have said that Jeremy couldn\'t play at all, 2 years ago. So, we don\'t care what they say. Jeremy is a genius, and he will become a very very good point guard, given time.

I like the coach supporting young players. For young players to grow, they need 3 things - 1. playing time 2. proper mentoring from veterans 3. support from coach and team.

Lin has got the playing time, luckily. Whether Baron is a good mentor, I don\'t know. He was a very good player, but whether he likes to teach, I don\'t know. Steve Nash is known for mentoring young players every team he\'s been on. But Lin has also got the support he needs from the coach and teammates. Chandler\'s frustrating 4th foul was actually a shout he sent for the no-call on the other end during Lin\'s drive. Not smart, but he\'s behind Lin.

Now, it\'s up to Lin to figure it out. He\'s a smart kid, despite the loss, he still got a lot going for him, which he wouldn\'t have gotten in other situations/teams.
