一個新國際機場即將建成及一個巨大的GOLF球場所在地﹐當然有巨大的投資潛力﹐發展商的嗅覺是非常靈敏的。現在都賣到四萬的地﹐他們引導投資者以三萬買進再以三萬六兩年後賣還給他們。算盤打的夠精的。但是﹐如果兩年後市場比現在差﹐這招倒還不錯。至少本錢不丟還有10%年息。你說呢﹖聽著像賭博﹐但人生本來就是賭。像我們從大洋彼岸飛到這片土地上﹐誰說不是賭﹖

Why is an airport so big being built around Sunny Hills, FL?"

 

(1) The Panama City Beach International Airport is located too close to Pensacola, the site of the Tyndall Airforce base.  This proximity interferes with the restricted air space that this high level airforce base now requires as the headquarters of the national Counter Terrorism Unit for the entire US Airforce. 

 

(2) The Panama City area is growing so fast that the government had to move outside of the immediate city to find land suitable for an airport, i.e. it sits in a storm-surge zone and is vulnerable to flooding.   

 

(3) St. Joe's Land Company dedicated (donated) the land for the airport in an area where the three bordering counties all meet.  This donation was given because St. Joe wanted to leverage their donation to coincide with their plan to build high-end communities with the other raw land they own surrounding the new airport site. 

 

Why so big of an airport?

 

(1) With the cost savings on the land and the projected area growth, the airport is being built to accommodate at least double the people that the existing airport now handles and also have room for future growth.  As the first airport being built after 9/11, it is also being projected to be the "showcase" for any new security technology, which will also require facilities to accommodate the training center.

 

(2) New safety requirements obligate the lengthing of the airfields and other measures to accommodate larger planes, etc. 

 

(3) The new airport will also have an industrial site.

 

Where are all these individuals going to live?

 

Sunny Hills is 15 minutes from the new airport site, is a platted Master Planned Community, i.e. they can build their home right away or rent and is affordable.
