第1章 佛國聖境
“大足石刻”是中國重慶市大足縣境內所有石窟藝術品的總稱。它創於唐盛於宋延至明清，佛、道、儒三教造像俱全，有造像五萬餘軀，銘文十萬餘字，雕刻精美生動，生活氣息濃鬱，民族特色鮮明，保存完好。它完成了石窟藝術的中國化進程，是中國晚期石窟藝術的代表作。“大足石刻”於1999年列入《世界遺產名錄》，現已是聞名遐邇的藝術寶庫和觀光勝地。（郭相穎）
The name “Dazu Rock Carvings”pertains to all grotto works created in Dazu， Chongqing。 The construction of Dazu grottoesbegan in Tang (AD。618―907)， reached its zenith in Song (960―1279) and lasted till Qing (1616―1911)；over 50，000Buddhist， Taoist and Confucianist statues and more than 10，000 characters of inscription had been accomplished。 Delicate andvividly， the works have rich flavor of life and distinctive national features and are well-preserved。 Dazu grotto is therepresentative work of later-period sculptures built in China and it witnessed the completion of stylish transformation of grottoart into Chinese。 Dazu Rock Carvings was inscribed in the World Heritage List in 1999 and Dazu presently becomes a storehouseof art works and tourism scenic spot renowned home and abroad。
