Our account has 2 free withdrawals outside Wachovia branches, here and aboard. I used it once at Canada, once in Paris on 2 trips. It did not charge me anything last year in Canada, but the xc rate was BAD, almost 2% built in. This year in Paris, the xc rate was competitive, and 1% fee showed up as a separate item on our statement.
The fee schedule dd 06/09/05 said non Wachovia ATM is $2.00 fee.
Our account is one of those "Crown" type (has a relatively high balance requirement to avoid fee), btw. Your account may be a different type.
