Thank you for your comments. I am glad you picked it up. The tag line for my blog is precisely "Pick up the little things in life along the way" :-).

When I was younger, I was perhaps more like you. Now with age and kids in tow, I have a wider appreciation for things, even simple ones.

The Balkan we went to was not bad. I especially enjoyed its festival ambience. The only Chinese restaurant in town, the Silver Dragon House, was decent as well. Just downstairs from the Silver Dragon was a sandwich place called Squish. We did not have a chance to eat there, but the pictures on the menu look enticing. There are also about three Japanese places and various steakhouses.

I am sure you will enjoy your time there.
