Parking in Miami South Beach?

Hi Everyone,

We will stay in a hotel located in 19-20th street on May 30 - June 1 before joining a 5 days cruiser. I am planing to rent a car. But I have not much idea about Parking in South Beach. Hotel will provide park spot which will cost $30 -45(valet) per day(limited space,no guarrantee).I also find several public parking garages nearby(3- 4 blocks) which charge $8 -20. My questios are;

1. In end of May(weekend), the public parking garage is usually available or alyaws full?
2. The charge of $8-20 per day is one time entry or multi-entry?
3. How about street Parking meter? Is it easy to find spot if we park one or 2 hours?
4. We have 3 person(adults). If we don't rent a car, is this too long to stay in hotel 2 days and walk surronding area(0.1 mile to art deco)?
