申根簽證 experience - Italy Consulate Boston

- Called 617-722-9204 on June 27, 08. Set up visa application appoitment at 11am on July 9.
- Arrived 600 Atalantic Ave. at 10:30am July 9. No waiting. Straight to the VO.
- Present documentations (both original and copies). Following documentations were taken by the VO
* Passport (original and copy of the first page and last page)
* copy of green card
* 1 photo
* Application form (original, signed on the spot)
* copy of cruise itinerary and electronic boarding pass
* copy of electronic air tickets
* Company letter head employment letter (Original), indicating position and salary
* copy of the most recent month bank statement
* copy of the most recent pay statement
* copy of the BCBS letter, indicating insurance coverage of emergent medical treatments oversea
* USD 90.5 in cash

The entire process took 10 minutes. They need one work day to process visa. Visa (30 days multi entries) will be available for pick-up anytime after 9am July 11.

Very efficient process in my view, except that visa stamp is not available on spot.
