Taiwan has tried and will try again

When China was poor, Taiwan said we cannot unite as we were so rich and it would not be fair to share of wealth;
When China is rich, Taiwan said we cannot unite as we have different social system and we are so democratic;
When China will be democratic, Taiwan says we cannot unite as we have different life style and we are so different...

Do you Chinese get it? We want to be INDEPENDENT! :) Although you know it is a joke - but it is our day-dream! :)
