The bronze Pig Rachel was installed in 1986 at the Market's entrance. Here is a link to the story:

To celebrate market Centinial (100 years continuous market open), Pike Place Market has a serious of events, including Pigs on Parade on the weekend 冬夢was in town. The over 100 pigs on display will be auctioned off in October. I'll post more piggy pictures when I have some time. Sorry I'm too busy to offer more - have to leave town again tomorrow.
