This is a nice hotel, we enjoyed it.
We actually rent a car in advance since the hotel doesn't have shuttle bus from the airport. However the traffic was quite confusing, sometimes it looked like you could never make a u-turn on highway (278?).
Driving through the tunnels to Manhattan cost $6 per pass (they charge one way only), and be prepared that parking in Manhattan will cost you money and time too as a stranger to the city.
The cost for parking by the meteors on the street is $2/hr.
We took a bus and subway just to experience the public transportation system, it turned out it cost more then driving ourselves, but it was quite convenient since it saved us a lot of time trying to find a parking spot.
