提個小醒......關於Global Entry

給壇友們提個醒，如果你的Global Entry五年快到期了，一定要在到期前去網站申請續約：

“log onto the Trusted Traveler Programs (TTP) System website at https://ttp.dhs.gov/ to submit your renewal application. The TTP system has replaced the Global Online Enrollment System (GOES).”

隻要到期前提交續約申請並付款，就可以繼續使用原卡，Grace period 延長到一年，這期間續約申請肯定能批準了。無縫銜接。

Due to a significant increase in application volume, U.S. Customs and Border Protection is extending the grace period from 6 months to 1 year for any Trusted Traveler member who has a valid membership and who has submitted a renewal application. This means you will continue to receive full benefits for 1 year while U.S. Customs and Border Protection is finalizing your renewal application. 

我犯了錯，提醒我renewal的email發到我舊的棄用的account上，沒看見。直到去年秋天從巴黎回來，家人刷臉能過，我怎麽也不行。納悶啊：我春天從意大利回來還刷臉成功，這半年我就老到機器不認識的地步了？

邊上工作人員拿過我的卡一看：過期啦！

到期後再續，就是無窮無盡的等待。我在Reddit上看到一片抱怨聲，有人說等了八個多月了，請當地議員寫信了，還是遙遙無期。唉，既然Grace Period 有一年，估計他們的速度就是照著一年去了～我隻能幹等了。
