How to Reset Your iPhone X

Perform the below sequence in somewhat rapid succession for it to be effective

  1. Press (don’t hold) the Volume Up button
  2. Press (don’t hold) the Volume Down button
  3. Press and HOLD the Lock/Side button
  4. The iPhone X should now restart, with the screen going dark and quickly rebooting to the iPhone X’s home screen.
