Gregorian announces their new album ’25/2025′. The idea for Gregorian was born when Hamburg hit producer Frank Peterson (Andrea Bocelli, Sarah Brightman, José Carreras, Justin Timberlake, Backstreet Boys and many more) visited the royal monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial in Spain in 1989. There he found the inspiration to blend ancient Gregorian music with modern songs – a unique sound experiment. Peterson first realized the idea with Michael Cretu and the worldwide sound phenomenon ‘Enigma’. The first album ‘MCMXC a.D.’ was released in 1990 and quickly became a worldwide success.

This sensational triumph paved the way to develop the musical idea behind Gregorian even further and establish Gregorian as an independent act in the year 1999 through the release of their debut album ‘Masters Of Chant’.

Millions of albums sold, over 1,400 shows in front of more than 3.2 million concertgoers and numerous gold and platinum awards later, Gregorian are now celebrating their 25th anniversary. Not only in Germany do Gregorian continue to set new standards with their music, but they also inspire millions of people across the globe with their live shows and their ability to switch seamlessly from classical chorales to pop and rock songs.

The anniversary celebrations will start off on November 15, 2024 with the release of the anniversary album ’25/2025′, which is also synchronized with Vantican's celebration of Jubiliee Year 2025.

’25/2025′ – the anniversary album featuring 30 songs – writes the next chapter of this one-of-a-kind success story. The double album contains 17 well-known and popular Gregorian hits as well as 13 brand new productions. The new songs include great interpretations of well-known global hits by The Weeknd, Talk Talk, Peter Gabriel, Depeche Mode, Ozzy Osbourne, Bruce Springsteen and other well-known acts.

The first digital single ‘Such A Shame’ is already available today for streaming and digital download as a musical foretaste of the forthcoming album. In addition to the powerful new interpretation of the ‘Talk Talk’ classic, the single also contains the fan favorite ‘The Sound Of Silence (Pure Version)’.
