As a Chinese living in America, English already become an unseperable part of my life. I do listen to English songs everyday, by Katy Perry, by Adele, by.... They are great singers. But I always feel there is always a part of me, deeply in my heart, can't fully connect with these great musics. I guess that's because we come from different culture, the subtlety in Chinese music is no where to fount in English singers.
Wanting's songs just filled the gaps. I feel the connections right away. Especially when I read the stories behind these music, I couldn't stop my tears (maybe I am too emotional, Monday morning). I love Hideaway, I love Dreched, I love the Chinese elements, emotions in the music. BTW, is the Chinese translation a part of the original work? so great. Finally there is a channel in music for Chinese living in English country to breath.
