Ukraine has the sovereign right to seek NATO membership, to choose its course.

Ukraine’s strategic course on joining NATO remains unchanged. It is enshrined in our Constitution and National Foreign Policy Strategy, supported by a growing majority of Ukrainians. It’s only up to Ukraine and thirty NATO allies to decide on the issue of membership.

.@VPrystaiko’s comment to @bbc5live was taken out of context and mislead many. Ukraine’s position remains unchanged. The goal of NATO membership is enshrined in the Constitution of Ukraine and no decisions can contradict it. The matter of security guarantees for Ukraine is urgent

Ukrainian people choose NATO, joining NATO is our aspiration provided by the Constitution. There is no turning back.

People in Kyiv on Feb. 12 seemed unimpressed by news that a Russian military attack could be imminent. "I think all will be good. And if not, we'll fight," a man told RFE/RL on the same day when a number of countries were evacuating their diplomats from the Ukrainian capital. pic.twitter.com/OXfWsM52ls
