Once met a Chinese officer who was in Korean war

He said Chinese shot down more than 10,000 enemy airplanes in Korean War. I said that was impossible since I am not even sure US had more than 10,000 airplanes at the time. He said the war reports said that. He was the officer in frontline headquarter.

 

Since then, I stopped believing anything from those reports. Chinese communists are famous of its lying habits in a grand scale. They later even fabricated they fought Sino-Japanese war.
