原唱美國歌手唐·麥克萊恩（Don Mclean）是在1971年創作並演唱，來紀念荷蘭著名印象派畫家文森特·梵高（Vincent Willem van Gogh）。 自由發揮，改編，特別是發揮轉調轉音特色處理，各顯神通是各路大神翻唱《Vincent(梵高之歌)/David Roth & Don Mclean》時候約定俗成的規矩。
樓主翻唱的是美國芝加哥民謠巨星David Roth與比利時天後Dana Winer各自民謠吉他伴奏版。他倆處理上最大的區別是副歌，David對“know how”那一段處理比原唱變化極大，但適應的是他自己整首歌的演繹風格。David Roth他在一些樂句的音符、節奏細節上做了與原唱不同的精致調整，把原來4分鍾的整首歌擴充了一分鍾，旋律更加旖旎，猶如寧靜神秘的星軌螺旋。
