this logic is not entirely impossible

But from my experience, for any manager or president, when they get into the position, the first thing is to build up a trust-worthy team and this team should be competent and loyal to him/her. The beauty is how to control the competent ones and make them loyal as well. I think SS was able to do that. So worry for him there.

The other part is how to make sure he does not build up bad reputation by getting rid of his own team members and the best ones, it seems. This bad reputation will follow him forever in the company and even outside his company. He should know that.
