Many facts are wrong. This author does not use cars for comparison. He can not fool new car buyers. Because they do compare cars.
For example, the Ford Fusion I4SE is in the same class as the Camry I4LE.
Fusion weighs 3342lbs. Camry 3307lbs. There is only 35lbs difference.
Fusion invoice is $19613. Camry is $20001. The difference is only $388.
Fusion HP is 175, Camry 167.
Fusion MPG is 22/29, Camry 22/32.
These two cars are so similar. Why Camry can deliver 2MPG on hiway more than Ford?
This board has so many people pretending to be experts. May be they can offer some reasonable answers to me.
Another factor you should answer is Ford is a domestic company. Toyota is a foreign company. In general a foreign company has many extra costs doing business than a domestic company. Therefore is Fusion is selling at the same price as Camry. Ford should enjoy better profit margin. Is this true?
