公司律師說，if your wife travels abroad after the h4 petition has been filed, the petition would be deemed abandoned .Thus, she will need to wait the h4 is approved and het status is traggered(Oct 1st) to travel.

1從h4遞交，到通過，到激活日，我回國，意味著自動放棄h4對嗎？

-If you travel to China before you file change of status from O-2 to H-4, you can use O-2 visa to come back before your spouse's H-1 is approved and effective. Then, it is fine for you to file H-4 application after you return to US.
If you return to US after your spouse's H-1 is effective on October 1, then you need to apply for H-4 visa in the US Consulate to come back.
