基本情況：小孩子出生在2015年，2024年以前隻是拿旅遊簽證短期來過美國，直到最近才搬來美國上學常住。我的綠卡2023年通過EB2拿到，我老婆同時間拿到綠卡。
我當年提交綠卡申請的時候，小孩子一直不在美國生活，單位的律師顧問說等小孩來美國常住了再提交申請，可以很快拿到卡，所以沒有提交小孩的綠卡申請。現在想來這是個非常愚蠢的決策，應該早點來論壇向各位大俠請教。
問題：
現在給小孩子申請綠卡，能不能通過follow-to-join比較快拿到卡？

是否可以不用填I-130, 直接填I-485調整身份？
-Yes.
填I-485表格時，應該怎樣選Part 2, Application Type and Filling Category？ 按照我的膚淺理解，如果選1.a.Family-based, 那意味著需要填寫I-130並等待漫長的排期。
那麽能不能選跟我一樣的類別1.b.Alien worker，作為Derivative Adjustment Applicant申請（因為我的I-140已經批過了）？
-Yes. Same filing category as yours. You need to provide the copy of your green card (both sides), copy of I-140 Approval Notice, copy of the I-140 which your employer filed to USCIS (if possible), the child's birth certificate, etc.
But the child needs to wait for at least 90 days from the date he/she entered US using the non-immigrant visa such as B2, F1 and then, file I-485 (90-day rule).
Consult the lawyer who handled your case before if you are not very clear.
