我父母都80多歲有美國綠卡。2021年回中國看病，辦了兩年的re-entry permit. 2023年11月到期。目前已經過期五個月。當時因為疫情和生病沒法動，現在他們想回美國。綠卡還在有效期內，2025年中到期。

我給美國海關(CBP) 打電話谘詢，問他們能不能出一個類似waiver的材料，讓我爸媽過海關是用，因為re-entry permit 已經失效。他們說不能出這個材料。

請教老師們下麵的各種可行性。

1. 硬闖：帶著我寫的解釋信去機場，但有沒有可能不讓上飛機？太折騰了。

-You can  try (find some reasonable excuses/justification) and hope the immigration officer at the port of entry is not strict. Some people have done this successfully, so I think your parents also have a chance, especially their age is old and thus the officer may give them compromise. Your parents should have no problem to board the flight using the green card.

2. 繼續尋求官方waiver 材料：去哪家找？我是美國公民，找議員管用嗎？

-Don't think it is useful.

3. SB-1 visa: 能在北京大使館辦嗎？

-No. Need to apply for it in the US Consulate in Guangzhou. I do not suggest your parents to do it because there is extremely little chance to get the SB-1 visa.

Another choice is that they may abandon their green card and then, apply for the B2 visa to enter US. Then, you can sponosr their green card again.

目前有人辦成功嗎？據說挺麻煩，因為有綠卡還要辦簽證。
