EAD/AP ,  we will no longer be in H1/H4 and can never change back, right?

-If you use I-485 EAD, you cannot return to H-1/H-4 status. But if you just use AP to return to US, you can return to H-1/H-4 status by doing H-1/H-4 extension as usual within US. If the H-1 holder uses AP, then he can work as usual as the h-1 holder, not need to use EAD to work. Then, just do the H-1 extension to return to H-1 holder before the H-1 expires.
