請教8老師

我兒子為他太太申請綠卡，我是co-sponsor。他遞交了所有需要的材料，包括所有的我的tax returns，w-2s. 我兒子在上學，他的收入每年隻有$300， 他這幾年沒有報稅. 移民局來信說，要complete document for most recent tax year. 我們還要交什麽材料？ 信中所指的"most recent tax year" 是2017年或者是最後一次交稅的一年？
