換中國護照保證國籍了，

The Chinese passport is just the proof of your Chinese Nationality when you travel outside China, and that is why you still can renew your Chinese passport in a Chinese Consulate even if your passport expires (you may need to pay extra fee). If you lose your Chinese passpsort, the Chinese Consulate still can help you because you are still a Chinese citizen.
