Stairs to Heaven: (not starting after 10:30 am. I would highly recommend waiting for at least two sunny days after a major rainfall. Do not go on a windy day.  Dry season is summer (Apr-Oct) and a rainy season is Nov-Mar.

Take 2-3L of water, plenty of snacks, camera, layers, high socks for the brush, sunscreen, bug spray. Plenty of mud at all altitudes. Not recommended to inexperienced hikers. Up and back 6-10 hrs depending on your speed and need for breaks/pics, 12 miles
 
Drive to Moanalua Valley Trail to park @  21.373996, -157.880597, call Uber XL for pickup or Taxi, drop off at 21.408728, -157.820361, about 14 miles, 30 mins drive from H3
Use #1 pass guard or #2 below, pass fence, tunnel, storm drain, bamboo forest to stairs
