請教一下8老師，

我的 I 485 （基於EB2 140）是今年1月20號提交的，5月拿到了Combo card，現在I 485提交已經超過8個月，但是我的H1B 9月底到期，請問現在還有必要做H1B extension麽？

-Up to you. It is OK to use the EAD to work. Unless you loose the job, your I-485 should be safe. But if the employer agrees to extend your H-1 and pay the H-1 fee, you may ask the employer to file H-1 extension petition for you (it seems you do not have enough time to do the H-1 extension)..

我老婆的也是H1B，並且他們公司也幫她申請了綠卡140 （EB3）已經通過，如果基於我140的 485申請被拒，我還能轉成H4麽？或者我可以現在直接用Combo card工作，然後非移民身份轉成H4麽？

-If you use EAD to work and your I-485 is denied, you need to go to China to get the H-4 visa to come back to become H-4 holder. You cannot change your status to H-4 within US in this case because you do not have a non-immigrant status after your H-1 expires.
