我在美國境內由H4轉成F1，給我的approval notice上麵有I94。是不是我現在身份是F1,但卻沒有F1的簽證，不能隨意進出美國的？

我在西雅圖，如我和先生帶孩子開車去加拿大的溫哥華辦簽證，大概停留一周，我自己需要去申請新的F1簽證才能重新入境美國嗎？
Automatic Visa Revalidation (AVR)對我的情況是否適用？
-Yes if your F-1 status has been activated (I-20 is effective), i.e. you have studied in the school formally. Then, you may present the passport with the original visa (e.g. H-4 visa) stamp, and the F-1 I-797 approval notice and I-94 card showing the change of status, and the I-20. You need to talk to your school International Student Office before you travel.
If you do not formally study yet (I-20 is not effective), you have to get the F-1 visa to enter US from Canada. Also, please note that you only can reenter US from Canada or another country in advance up to 30 days before the I-20 is effective (i.e. the first semester begins). You can find the I-20 effective date on the I-20.
