sorry about that. this is second H1B. already worked 3 years with H1B. when I did extension, I may make mistake and not include my wife and my son. ....my wife and my son are H4 now but will expire in few days(Sep30,2015)....I just receive the 797C. the 797A is on the way. I saw copy, there is I-94(it should be my i-94) on it. my wife need re-new driver license now. thank you so much for your help.
-Then, your wife and son can go to US-Mexico or US-Canada border after September 21 using your H-1 approval notice (I-797C or I-797A). She may have to get the new H-4 to renew her DL. She had better also bring your old H-1 approval notice if she will go to the border beofe Oct. 1 (don't show the old H-1 approval notice to the IO at the port of entry unless asked). Because your H-1 approval has I-94, you don't need to get the H-1 stamp. Of course, if you go to the border with your wife and son, you can show your H-1 approval notice with I-94 to the IO when you reneter US.
