她低頭輕撫吉他，飄逸的金色長發遮住麵頰，仿佛為自己營造一個避風港。她的聲音時而如行雲流水，時而熱情如火，在冰火交融的氣氛中，她可以從小旅舍桌上一杯咖啡，一枝玫瑰唱到世界和平，從阿姆斯特丹唱到加州，每個簡單的音在她的唇間都訴說一段情感，一個故事。她的音樂天賦用什麽語言來形容都顯得蒼白。
看到Joni，想到影片Forrest Gump 裏阿甘的女友Jenny，一個背上吉他闖天下的女子。Joni出生於加拿大小鎮，她兼備北歐的修長身材和蘇格蘭愛爾蘭能歌善舞的天性。

joni自己作詞作曲演唱，用心感受什麽是適合的，有些曲子加了四五十個不同的和弦，剛開始不被人認可，不久就被稱為經典。 joni的音樂很有特色，她不拘一格民歌搖滾爵士藍調都嚐試，象她的一句歌詞"Love is touching souls, surely you touched mine... "
joni一生經曆了那麽多，經年回首，一切都欣然接受，都成為財富。加拿大草原養育了她，她唱的Canada和California 我都喜歡。業內對她評價很高，在1995年，她接受了告示牌billboard的世紀大獎，從69年到08年獲得了九座葛萊美獎，還獲終身成就獎，葛萊美獎形容她是「搖滾年代裏最重要的女性音樂人」以及「對所有藝人有著強大影響，充滿多樣性、創造力與正直態度」的傑出藝人。
不管她得多少獎，十幾年來慢慢聽慢慢喜歡上的，她的歌是對生活的最好的探索和詮釋。人生如歌。戀戀不舍。
