I thought about not blogging about this week's Saturday dinner out experience but decided against it, after all, I had made a commitment to recording our experience, good or bad. So here we go.
上星期六是我老公在病，這一次輪到我了。The fashionable moms here probably know too well what we were experiencing - the Domino effect. It almost always starts with one kid getting sick, then the other, then the parent.... Perhaps because of my being sick, I had a craving for 清粥和小菜，但是最近的粥店也太遠，最後決定去這個小館which we had not been to in years! I remember the very first time we heard about this place was in the context that it, to be precise, its 紅燒肉, was directly responsible for the decision made by one of our friends to move here.
Parking turned out to be a big problem, which was a bit puzzling. 我們最後停到了三四個blocks之外。
真可謂跋山涉水來到了這個小館。幾年來裝潢也沒有什麽變化。
老公記得上次點過排骨麵，但我這次對什麽麵沒有興趣。我問老板娘什麽是他們的招牌菜。她說餃子和麵食。偏偏我又對這不感興趣。於是我點了麻辣黃瓜和鹹蛋炒苦瓜。
老公先嚐了黃瓜，我問他怎樣。他說不麻也不辣。我嚐了一下，同樣不解為什麽要取名麻辣黃瓜。雖然吃起來還不錯，但覺得應該叫涼拌黃瓜。
苦瓜是我的最愛之一。和鹹蛋炒還是頭一次吃。這個菜還不錯。
老公叫了薺菜豬肉餃子和紅燒肉。可惜紅燒肉買完了，於是換成回鍋肉。
餃子我隻嚐了一個。not impressed. 但是老公讚不絕口。
這個回鍋肉是我吃過的最難吃的。老公也concur. 首先，雖然菜譜上畫了一個小辣椒，但是吃起來不但不辣，而且可怕的是還甜. 其次，用的肉完全不對，一點也不是五花肉。
雖然苦瓜還不錯，總體來說，I gave it 2.5 stars. Surprisingly, my hu*****and gave it a generous 4 stars. Seems he really liked those dumplings!
在我二星期前的blog裏，我擺拍了一件上衣的搭配。現在上二張穿上身的照片。
I rarely wore blazers, so the last one was me trying something new..
