-They will make the decision about 2.5 to 3 months currently for I-539. As I mentioned above, if your H-1 I-94 does not expire yet, your stay will not be considered as unlawful presence even if the B-2 application is denied (though you are out of status). So, you may continue to try to find a job, and then go to China to apply for H-1 visa to come back.
