Vladimir Putin demands 'unconditional' Russian victory and could scupper US peace deal
ladimir Putin has thrown the latest US attempt to negotiate an end to the conflict into doubt, ordering his military chiefs to force a large-scale surrender of Ukrainian forces.
Dressed in army gear, Putin gave no indication he was pursuing diplomacy and instead accused President Volodymyr Zelensky of leading a "criminal gang."
During the meeting, he instructed his top commander, Valery Gerasimov, to ensure "the unconditional achievement of the goals of the special military operation."
