“Trump blowing Bubba” stems from a recently released 2018 email exchange between Jeffrey Epstein and his brother Mark. In the email, Mark asks his brother to find out from Steve Bannon whether Russian President Vladimir Putin has "the photos of Trump blowing Bubba". This phrase has been widely circulated online and discussed in the media due to several factors:
- Sexual Innuendo: The term "blowing" is a slang term for performing oral sex.
- "Bubba" Speculation: "Bubba" is a common Southern nickname and is a well-known nickname for former President Bill Clinton. This led to widespread (and unfounded) speculation online that the email was referencing a sexual encounter between Donald Trump and Bill Clinton, with many late-night comedians and social media users mocking the idea.
- Epstein's Brother's Statement: Mark Epstein issued a statement clarifying that the reference to "Bubba" in the email was not a reference to Bill Clinton. A spokesperson stated that "Bubba" is a "private individual" and that the email was part of a "humorous private exchange between two brothers". He did not, however, reveal who "Bubba" actually is.
