New York Times journalist has been suspended over sexual misconduct allegations after several female reporters claim he made advances by kissing and touching them when plied with alcohol

• Glenn Thrush, a White House Correspondent for the New York Times, was suspended over sexual misconduct allegations, the newspaper said Monday
• Several female reporters claim the 50-year-old made advances, including kissing and touching them
• Most of the indiscretions occurred in a bar setting when Thrush had been drinking, the women claim 
• Laura McGann, a Politico colleague of Thrush’s, wrote that Thrush kissed her and placed his hand on her thigh one night in a bar
• A 23-year-old claims that Thrush kissed her several times after a night of drinking in June, and resulted in her leaving and crying
• Thrush said he is entering a substance abuse program after the claims emerged
