美國稀土提煉供應鏈早已多樣化,除了東南亞,還有南韓.................................

While MP Materials does not appear to have mining operations or rare-earth extraction directly in South Korea, there are established commercial and supply-chain relationships/involvements between MP Materials and South Korean firms. Here are the key points:

  1. Supply of rare earth oxide (NdPr Oxide) to South Korean firms

    • A South Korean company Seongan signed a supply contract with MP Materials for 240 tons of neodymium-praseodymium (NdPr) oxide. Asiae+3?????+3Asiae+3

    • The first shipment under that contract arrived at Incheon Port, South Korea. Asiae+1

  2. Domestic production using MP’s rare earth materials

    • Seongan plans to use the U.S.-made rare earth oxides to manufacture rare earth metals in South Korea. Asiae+1

    • Seongan also has established or plans a factory/factories for metal reduction (i.e. turning oxides into usable metals) domestically (in Ansan) and overseas (e.g. Vietnam). ?????

  3. Market & supply chain shift

    • MP Materials has changed its distribution strategy: rather than selling mostly raw concentrate (much of which historically ended up processed in China), they are now supplying higher value intermediates (oxides, separation) to non-Chinese customers, including in South Korea.
